"Teach me how to Dougie"
True story.....this weekend I was at a bar watching a live band having a great time with my friends. The band takes a break and the D.J. starts to play club music in between sets, starting with the song that goes "teach me how to Dougie". Mind you, me and my boy are probably the only black folks in the whole place and the bar is respectfully packed. No biggie because to be honest, I don't even realize it until the following incident occurs. As soon as the song comes on a white girl who looks "under the influence" who I've never met or seen in my whole entire life manages to make her way through the whole crowd of white people just to ask me.... "Hey dude, can you show me how to Dougie?" with a serious face! Was there something particular that made her think I knew how to do the dance and the other hundreds of people in the club did not! I never get caught off guard, but this got me! I'm not going to lie I giggled LOUDLY in disbelief! Was this random?, or was it "hey, I bet the black guys know the dance". Maybe, I like classical, maybe I'm into polka, maybe I'm a Billy Ray Cyrus fan, maybe I don't even like hip hop at all! Doubtful yeah, but she don't know that!
